Writers on Film awaits.

Great to see that there was a new issue of Schnews - but it's a shame it was just a one-off. That single-sheet zine format is sadly underused.

The book is ordered - can't wait to read it!

The day after your post I find the book ‘Mummers, Maypoles and Milkmaids: a journey through the English ritual year’ by Sara Hannant in my college library in the new acquisitions. So I’ll be taking that out then. Also, I have preordered your audiobook.

Will US release info will be available soon? I've got a Whovian that could love this, so please am interested to know. In the meantime I'll settle for the KLF book. I think I heard about it via Alan Cross's Ongoing History of New Music, maybe? Sorry can't remember but wow. I'll try to share it with said Whovian, at any rate but he may need to wait his turn 😆.

At the moment it look's like there won't be a US release for this book, sadly, it will be UK only. Doctor Who is seen as too cult by American publishers, it seems, and the Disney+ launch didn't have the impact I hoped. The UK edition will be easy enough to get hold of online, though, but it will mean no audiobook version outside the UK. Unless a sympathetic US publisher turns up!

Two formats preordered. David Bramwell bought. Alan Moore preordered. A Ext/Reg copy for the Higgs/Mallon wing of Coventry Library requested. Take that, hangover!

John Higgs writing a new book is happy enough news. That it is on Doctor Who is just perfect. Do you ever do talks, readings, presentations? Would love to listen to you speak.

I hope to be doing loads of them, next year, so fingers crossed there will be one near you. I'll plug them in the newsletter ahead of time!
